Storm Callum brings a yellow flood warning.
East Lancashire RAYNET poised.
With a yellow weather warning issued for rain across the area today, Saturday 13 October 2018, East Lancashire RAYNET are poised to swing into action if required. All local responders are being kept updated via Resilience Direct, the Government secure platform for sharing information that supports effective multi-agency working and offers a greater sense of shared situational awareness.
RAYNET was formed in 1953 following the severe East coast flooding, to provide a way of organising the valuable resource that Amateur Radio is able to provide to the community. East Lancashire RAYNET builds on that, to provide resilient communication technology and operators for events such as severe weather disruption.
